Don't let today be a waste of makeup

I feel like this hoodie is the perfect showcase piece for the direction I want to take this blog, to show off things I make, makeup styles, and travels, the things that make me, well me. I love fashion, makeup, creating beautiful and unique things, I am an Army brat so travel is just life.   This hoodie I made for strikes promo a few weeks ago, it was a new style I hadn't made before. I really love how it turned out. The thumb holes and the black accents really just make it next level for me. I modified it a little cause I wanted a slouchy cowl look.   I had colored my hair 'black' with overtone, its kind of a purple black. I really loved it, was such a drastic change from the colors I have had before but it was a fun one. I was glad it was still dark for this hoodie, the hair and the make up I think worked really well with the colors.  I am still experimenting with different looks and styles of make up but one thing I know for sure, liquid eyeliner is life!

Never under estimate what a kid will do to go to the movies!

When Toy Story 4 was about to hit theaters my little sister asked to go see it, but she has never seen the first 3, she's only seen the shorts. So my mom told her she needed to watch the first 3 and if she liked them and could sit through them then my dad would take her.  No one expected her to make it through 1 let alone all 3 marathon style. When she finished watching all 3 she immediately asked how soon she could go. Maybe a bit of a backfire lol.  After seeing the 4th one, she could not stop talking about Bo. That is her favorite, so for Christmas she got a Bo pop, which of course had to join her in these pictures. I made her this fun skirt with large pockets, out of border print. It wasn't my original plan, but I accidentally didn't order enough for what I had thought to make for her, but I think this turned out really cute and she's thrilled with it!

Who says you can only have one style?

I am really feeling the 90's grunge, goth, vibe right now. Maybe its the teen in me or a phase but I am loving the look and the freedom I feel rocking it.  This circle skirt is part of the new  Fabriculous  round open right now. It is meant to be colorful and fun and part of a Toy Story theme, I might have turned that a little bit on its head.  BUT how cool is this? Totally different look and feel with a little bit of styling. I love it. Is a piece I can change up so easily.  Right now though, I am loving this styling.

My Fab Posh Top

I love fabriculous  custom fabrics bamboo lycra. It is so soft like this dreamy between butter soft and silky. Its magic, cool and comfortable to be in all day here.  Now its well know I live in Hawaii, so long sleeves are not often something I often do my choice, but this fabric is that comfortable! its just so light and airy. The first time I ever got bamboo I was really nervous to work with it because its so different from other bases, not I get it in all the time.  This is the posh top from  George + Ginger , when I got this bamboo, I knew I needed to make a posh, the subtle style and added touches of the shirt at the neck, wrists, and shoulders.  Did you notice the ice? The rest reminds me of frosted glass, its amazing right?!

Kaylee rocking some fabriculous!

I made the coolest outfit for my sister! She was disappointed that she wasn't getting anything from this round so I looked at my scraps and came up with the best idea! I made her the new Truffle skirt from  Candy Castle , with all the ruffles it was perfect for the random pieces I had.  I paired it with a dolman from  Phat Quarters  that I made into a crop because this skirt needed a skull crop. I think the end result is very rocker... She however is more cute than rocker lol, we did have a lot of fun with the pictures though  This round from  Fabriculous  is seriously epic you really need to check it out!

90's vibe pencil skirt!

I had a little bit of this black skull fabric from Fabriculous  left so I made what I think is the most epic pencil skirt!  A little bit of color blocking and some faux leather and boom statement piece for my goth/grunge collection I am working on.           I am not sure how good I am at the moody part of teen angst, but I am nailing the fashion part lol. I am working on make up and music, so what is your favorite 90's grunge rock band or song? I have been working on a play list. 😁

Dean loves his fab skulls!

When I saw this round I knew one thing was for sure, Dean needed something!  The colors and style is something he gravitates towards when picking out things and as a bonus I can make it to fit him! I let him look and pick out his favorites. He LOVED these skulls as soon as he saw them. He really wanted to just do the dark but I told him he needed a little bit of color for contrast, and he of course listens to me.  I think the combination he picked worked great. It always makes me so happy when he enjoys the things I make for him.

Feeling my 90's vibes here

I am so excited to share so many different things with you all over the next month or so. I am going to be testing some of the most epic patterns and the strikes I just finished up for  Fabriculous  all have the most amazing Grunge/goth 90's feel to them and I am loving it all!   This is the crop version of the  Extra Top  from George + Ginger with 3/4 sleeves. I paired it with a basic black circle skirt that I shorted from a halloween costume I made a year or so ago, with some plaid mesh tights and boots.  I am loving the look of this whole outfit so much. This round and the styling and patterns I choose and the patterns I will be testing, it all just works so well together and has kinda of a moody, teen angst that well, is me.

Fabriculous Ice Meets George + Ginger

One of the prints I have absolutely fallen in love with is the Ice. I have yet to see it in a color that I didn't think was amazing! My mom and I tested the Mix it up collection from  George + Ginger , so of course we had to take a few photos together, and we used  Fabriculous  Ice, it gave the look a bit more flash and fancy feel.  But not too fancy... 🤣 Now this was all the way fancy! Used the Ice to make my mom this fantastic mash up of patterns ball gown. She got a lot of compliments on the color and design especially, it was an artillery ball and red is their thing.  The thing I love most about the ice design is it looks sparkly with out the headache of sewing sequins and gems or anything on it to give that effect. It is just another element of dimension and I love that in fabric.  All of the ice in this blog is cotton lycra, though they have run it in other bases too. I just really love the structure of their...
