This month we celebrate Handbags, wallets, diaper bags and the like!

I wasn't sure I was going to love making bags, and now here I am with a whole month to celebrate the different style and companies.  I love how easy they are to add your own personal flare too, you can change up a couple things and it become a unique one of a kind item.  This post is just a few of the different styles I have made over the last year, I have been working on so many more for this month, they make sure great gifts heading into the holidays.  I can customize with different fabrics, and embroidery a bag just for you, most of the ones shown here and over the month are up for sale on my website , and peeks on  facebook .   The fabric choices can really change the look as can the difference between lycra and woven. Adding in foam and different interfacing for more or less structure. There are just so many ways to change the same pattern up and have them look different while being the same bas...

Candy Castle - Soda Pop Polos & Cappuccino Cardigans

I can not tell you how hard it was to only pick a few polos and cardigans I have made to share with you today. This monkey one was my very first, and then I made my brother a closet full lol  Soda Pop Polo  has a lot of great options too including a ruffle, regular, henley collars a long with hood option, short and long sleeve as well.   I was pretty nervous making the placket the first time, and if I am honest the next couple too. This is by far the best placket instructions I have come across, the few times I have tried out other patterns that have them I always end up back here at the Soda Pop. I live in Hawaii currently so I do not often make a lot of fall clothing, however this cardigan has become a staple here. These above option was made out of bamboo lycra which is the most amazing fabric, it almost always feels cool but yet offers some warmth at the same time. One of my favorite things about this pattern is all the ways it can be w...

Adult Jupiter Joggers & Nightmare Before Christmas, what could be better?!

I tested the kids version of these joggers and ever since my mom has been wanting a pair! When I saw she was testing an adult version . I knew I needed to sign up to make her some!  They were perfect for the strikes of Nightmare Before Christmas from  LMB Fabrics , in case you didn't know my mom and dad are NBC fanatics lol.  I made her a matching bag and shoes! The shoes are also from the same company as the joggers. These shoes are the Mary Jane style , they have several others as well.  The shoes of course have the tough tech waterproof traction on the bottoms so she will get a lot of use out of them.  These are the shorts version of the joggers vs the longer pants version. They have a large pocket that is optional but my mom does a lot of walking and really wanted a pocket for her phone. The bag is the reversible Laney Hobo from  Swoon Sewing Patterns . One side is all grey cupcakes, the other side I did the pa...

Dancing Sally and her little Jack

I love this print so much! It is hard not to smile when you look at it.  This Stella was made with just a panel for the from and sleeves. The back I did with a stretch lace. I though it complimented the pattern and the panel well.  This panel is part of a round of custom fabric that is open over at  LMB Fabrics  until the 26th. There are some other really great prints. I have been showing them off on my Facebook page and my instagram so be sure to check out both if you are interested in me making you something with these fabrics, and check out her website if you are looking to order the fabric direct. May the 4th be with you!

I love Star Wars! I mean how could you not, I think you can tell a lot about a person from which episode is there favorite. A New Hope is mine. Original trilogy will always be the best, right?! I made myself this awesome  Starc  Top. It is from  George + Ginger . So many great styles from them. I LOVE the details on this top, little extra flash.  This fabric is from  LMB Fabrics , I had enough after my top to make a cute bag as well! I love making every scrap count.  This is the Heidi from  Swoon Pattern Company . It is a fold over clutch with a wristlet strap. It has one main pocket and a back zipper pocket as well, along with a magnetic closure for when its folded over.  This Heidi is a one of a kind and if you are interested can be purchased  Here . I also made a couple of cute little wallets in two different Star Wars designs. They can be purchased  Here There are two bandana bibs u...
