Graduation Gown Turned Dress

Hey y’all! As some of you may know or remember I graduated back in May and I got to keep my gown along with my cap, since I’m homeschooled.  Now the next person in my family to graduate still has a couple years to go, and he will probably need a size or two up to accommodate for height so I turned my gown into a dress!  I got to work a week or so after I graduated and started sketching what I wanted to turn my gown into. Should I do separates? Should I do a dress? What style of dress?  Ultimately I decided upon this amazing dress, now I did have to adjust the skirt because my initial sketch had a long maxi style dress but I simply adore the shorter skirt.  And that back is stunning! The whole dress with the exception of the ribbon for the straps, came from the gown.  Had to take a couple pictures with my cap, so happy I had all my friends sign it!  Now this next picture has a bit of a story behind it:  So the day I took pics of my dress, I took my blac...

Can you have to much sass, or pink?

Fabriculous  has an enchanted round open right now, and it is epic!  This dress is made from 2 of the coordinates. This is a pattern I have had filed away for so long, but never found fabric I really liked for it. I think these pinks compliment the dress design and each other perfectly on it. It's pinklishous.  This round has great coordinates in several colors, mermaids, Dinosaurs, Unicorns, great bag rapports with the best sayings! I have a video up on my  Facebook  and an album with some of the other designs I made as well. Everything works so well together and the black and white designs have my heart this round!  Kaylee wants you to remember I am happy to create amazing one of a kind designs for you with anything you see offered in the round as well. The samples I made are to show off the graphics, and colors not limit the possibilities.

Rainbow Soho

I love these bright colorful Mickey heads from  Royal Pixie Fabric . They are so cheerful and bright. They have so many color ways in the current round, along with a design your own but this bright rainbow color way went with this rainbow fabric so nicely making a great little soho.  You might have noticed this is one of my favorite little bags to make. It is such a great size and I have yet to see a fabric on it that didn't look amazing! It is perfect for showing off that favorite fandom, sometime a little more subtitling than other times 🙂 I think these Mickey heads are perfect has a more subtle accent. a touch of it vs all in your face. More my style anyway lol.

Mouse Firecracker Love

I have had this print in my stash for so long because I really wanted to make it into something special, and this amazing dress was it!  I can not wait to share with you the rest of the amazingness that is this dress style! SOON!  The dress is again the  Firecracker  and this fabric is from  Kammie Lou Lou   Stay tuned for the women's and other styling options next week!

Happy Trees, Tulip shorts, Banana Pudding and Painting... I promise it all makes sense!

My sister is a HUGE Bob Ross fan. One day we were all hanging out and my mom mentioned him in passing, I had no idea who he was she pulled him up on Netflix. Kaylee became obsessed! They have a lot of similar personality traits in terms of finding beauty in things, simple pleasures, love of painting, animals, and just being super chill.  Bob Ross is actually how we found  Fabriculous Custom Fabrics . We were hunting for something special for her. Mandi has run it a few times now, including a recent holiday run which I am super excited to get in because of the plans we have for it!  But back on point, when  Bella Sunshine Designs  said they were going to do a little update on the Tess Tulip shorts I knew she needed a whole new Bobby outfit, yes she calls him Bobby, I just roll with it cause while super chill she takes Bob and painting pretty serious.  So here they are! Her brand new Bobby Tess Tulip shorts! (These are currently on...

Sewing is my Super Power

This preorder over at  The Fabric Geeks   is incredible.  I wanted to do something fun and a little different with this panel. I love what it says, sewing really does feel like a super power sometimes. I had a lot of fun making this one and it really fits my personal style.  I started with the new  Hepburn  from Patterns for Pirates, went sleeveless, figured out about where I wanted this to end on me and sewed it all up, then added the slits and and crossed them over. I know this might not be everyones test but its a really fun crop style top for me.  They have a lot of other great designs going on this round as well. If you are interested in me sewing you something up with these fabrics please message me by September 5th so I have time to place my order.  EMAIL       WEBSITE        FACEBOOK       INSTAGRAM

Sister Bonding #FABsessed

It is a rare occasion when my sister and I get to match and in something I am excited to wear lol. I think these outfits and this photoshoot was both of our favorites.  I had a certain look in mind and let me tell you it is hard to find an existing pattern for petal pushers, so I had so hack and mash things to make both us us denim petal pushers. This fabric is all from  The Fab Clique  the denim was a dream to work with! I was a little nervous, I have never made pants with no real stretch before, but they turned out amazing!  I really wanted a dolman style crop for both of us, I did make my sisters a little longer so she can wear it longer. I did heres 2 sided as well so she can choose which side to wear on the front. This is the grey and white skulls and hearts also from the  The Fab Clique . I want to describe this cotton lycra but I am not sure how to adequately explain how soft it is. You have to try it! and maybe you will become #FABs...
