Fashionista Dreams

Hello again everyone! Today I am going to be showing you the Boudoir Blouse, and the Paradox skirt from the Goth Collection over at  George + Ginger . These are woven patterns so measurements are critical when making them for your self of if you want to order them from me 🙂 These are very well fitted and tailored garments and they are so worth the extra time and expense.  I made this blouse with Crush Bichon Charmeuse, it has a great texture look to it. It was a super fun fabric to work with. The sleeves are a chiffon with a glitter design on it. I thought it would look great with the Brocade I picked out for my skirt.  I used snaps on mine but you could do some really cool vintage looking buttons, or gears for a more steampunk flare to it. The amazing this about this collection is how your fabric and accessory choices can really change the look so easily. What a peculiar year this has been! I had so many plans that have had to be adapted and changed a bit. Unfortunately when deciding on what needed to have a pin put in it the blog was on that list. However I have found my groove and have many exciting things to share with you both personally, business wise, and a new pattern collection!  Kristi from  George & Ginger  designed the most epic Goth collection that has just released! Over the next few days I will show you all the pieces, even some with my mom.  Above you will see the Bedight Bolero, this can be made reversible, this one is not, it is satin. There is also a non ruffle version that has long sleeves and a closure at the neck, I still need to make one of those.  This is the Evanescent dress, the petticoat I am wearing under is not part of the pattern I just liked the poof it added. The last few weeks have been a whirl wind! I have been sewing strikes, pattern testing, and having photoshoots pretty much every day for the last 3 weeks.  I have been so fortunate with opportunities these past few weeks to really test limits, try new styles, looks, and work with some amazing people I admire. I have so many exciting this to share this month that I a really proud of.  The first thing I get to share is being picked to work with Becca the owner of  Black Sheep Fabrics , and one of her admins Florence. I admire both of these women so much, the style, and the beauty they bring to this sewing community. I am in awe of them daily. This was a dream come true.  This gorgeous fabric is from the current round at Black Sheep. The super sewists, red and black grunge made this outfit epic! I am so proud of this outfit and look. I am so excited to share so many different things with you all over the next month or so. I am going to be testing some of the most epic patterns and the strikes I just finished up for  Fabriculous  all have the most amazing Grunge/goth 90's feel to them and I am loving it all!   This is the crop version of the  Extra Top  from George + Ginger with 3/4 sleeves. I paired it with a basic black circle skirt that I shorted from a halloween costume I made a year or so ago, with some plaid mesh tights and boots.  I am loving the look of this whole outfit so much. This round and the styling and patterns I choose and the patterns I will be testing, it all just works so well together and has kinda of a moody, teen angst that well, is me.
