There is no Planet B - Space & Science Round

This panel is one of my favorites from the current Space & Science round over at  Royal Pixie . Taking pictures of my sister in her new pj's and she told me she had the perfect pose, and she was right! I loved it!  Kaylee loves the stars, space and reading, so of course I made another reading pillow and several styles of bookmarks. She was a bit bummed when I said they weren't for her to keep.  This planet fabric and the galaxy print both look so great on book marks, they will be a part of our read across America promotion starting later this month.                                                                                                    There are still a few days if you would like ...

Reading Pillow! Birthday gift + product testing = PERFECTION!

I made this reading pillow slip cover for my brother for his birthday this week. As soon as he saw this fabric he really wanted something with it, but I already had some plans for me lol. I did come up with this great idea so we could both share in the junk food goodness.  This fabric is up for preorder over at  Royal Pixie Custom Fabric , they have some great junk food, and sweet treat prints up over there on this preorder. I was so excited to get this one, and I am looking at the chocolates to order. Check them out and let me know what your favorite is!  You may remember me mentioning I have an embroidery machine? I saved up all my birthday money, and was given some early Christmas money to get all set up. It is so cool to be able to add little touches to things, and really set them apart from other projects. For this reading pillow I put my brothers name on it and 2 of his favorite junk food items.  It is not perfect I admit but this was the...

This month we celebrate Handbags, wallets, diaper bags and the like!

I wasn't sure I was going to love making bags, and now here I am with a whole month to celebrate the different style and companies.  I love how easy they are to add your own personal flare too, you can change up a couple things and it become a unique one of a kind item.  This post is just a few of the different styles I have made over the last year, I have been working on so many more for this month, they make sure great gifts heading into the holidays.  I can customize with different fabrics, and embroidery a bag just for you, most of the ones shown here and over the month are up for sale on my website , and peeks on  facebook .   The fabric choices can really change the look as can the difference between lycra and woven. Adding in foam and different interfacing for more or less structure. There are just so many ways to change the same pattern up and have them look different while being the same bas...

Rainbow Soho

I love these bright colorful Mickey heads from  Royal Pixie Fabric . They are so cheerful and bright. They have so many color ways in the current round, along with a design your own but this bright rainbow color way went with this rainbow fabric so nicely making a great little soho.  You might have noticed this is one of my favorite little bags to make. It is such a great size and I have yet to see a fabric on it that didn't look amazing! It is perfect for showing off that favorite fandom, sometime a little more subtitling than other times 🙂 I think these Mickey heads are perfect has a more subtle accent. a touch of it vs all in your face. More my style anyway lol.

Royal Pixie and the Thirst Project

If you follow my Facebook, or Instagram you know I am a HUGE decedents fan. Really a big fan of both Dove and Cameron, I have watched both on Disney for what seem like ever. Well with Cameron it has been, I started watching him on Jessie when I was 6, he was my first real celebrity crush. His passing before the last movie came out made its premier so emotional! Really watching him on anything still kind of is.  Anyway Royal Pixie Custom Fabric has this great design they have been working on and added to their current preorder, they originally had a tossed coordinate with the characters and the rotten to the core apple, they have added a panel where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to  The Thirst Project , an organization that was near and dear to Cameron's heart. I am really excited about this fabric, especially with the donation because I think the cause is incredible, I am including a little bit from their website below.  A brief about Th...

Royal Pixie Speedwell

The Blue Calla - Speedwell is such a cool little bag. I made one for myself a few weeks ago, so when I got this frozen inspired coordinate from  Royal Pixie  I knew Kaylee needed one too!  There are so many details and pockets on this bag, for such a small day pack. I have cut a bunch out and have them ready to go when I get back from my vacation. I think these little bags are perfect gifts, Kaylee agrees lol.  (In case you are interested the top is the below zero from  George + Ginger  and the fabric is this amazing super soft sherpa lined french terry from  The Fab Clique  it was clearance and my mom got it former self so of course here is my sister wearing it lol) EMAIL       WEBSITE       FACEBOOK       INSTAGRAM

ROAR into Dino happiness with Royal Pixie

My brother LOVES dinosaurs. He was so excited to be getting something from this current round over at  Royal Pixie . They have a few dino panels and a couple background options, along with lots of other goodies, but this is what he was most excited about. So excited he had to do some roaring and show me his favorite T-Rex pose. I knew the  Lil' Buckaroo  was what this needed to become for him. He loves the way this shirt fits, and I made him some matching shorts from  Ellie & Mac . I even had enough scraps to make him matching underwear, and if you have been reading these for a while you know he's always so sad when I don't have enough to make him matching underwear.  If you look close you will see I used dino snaps too, because really even for boys the details are so important. Often I think  people over look the details on things for boys because there are so many pretty options for girls, it makes boys stuff less fun to make for ...
