Graduation Gown Turned Dress

Hey y’all! As some of you may know or remember I graduated back in May and I got to keep my gown along with my cap, since I’m homeschooled.
Now the next person in my family to graduate still has a couple years to go, and he will probably need a size or two up to accommodate for height so I turned my gown into a dress!

I got to work a week or so after I graduated and started sketching what I wanted to turn my gown into. Should I do separates? Should I do a dress? What style of dress?
Ultimately I decided upon this amazing dress, now I did have to adjust the skirt because my initial sketch had a long maxi style dress but I simply adore the shorter skirt.

And that back is stunning! The whole dress with the exception of the ribbon for the straps, came from the gown.

Had to take a couple pictures with my cap, so happy I had all my friends sign it!
Now this next picture has a bit of a story behind it:

So the day I took pics of my dress, I took my black belt pictures as well. While we were looking at poses I had this idea to see if I could do a side kick (a personal favorite) in my dress and heels- turns out I can!

Alright y’all, that’s all for today- don’t forget to follow me on InstagramFacebookPinterest. Also don’t forget you can shop all my ready to wear designs in my group, Fashionista Dreams- Ready to Wear

See y’all later,

Alyssa xx

Lily Rose - Toy Story Guest Call

I am so excited that I was picked to guest seamstress for  Lily Rose Custom Fabrics . I was sent 2 panels and coordinate in her lush DBP (double brush poly, think those leggings that are butter soft, only better 😏) I made my younger siblings some cute things! This is a pattern a bit of my own making, little of this little of that and a cool muscle tank for my little brother, he loved showing it off!  How cute is he?!  Not to be out done in the drama department Kaylee brought the sass in spades. This is the glitter coordinate from this round. I made her a  Citron Twist  from  Candy Castle Pattern Company .  This is the  Banana Pudding  also from Candy Castle Patterns, they are one of my favorites and she loves this top!  I paired it up with these  Jupiter Joggers  I tested a few weeks ago now, cause she loves this style so much. The pocket is perfect for a panel accent to complete the ...

Pride Keychains (Coming Soon)

Let’s talk Pride Keychains! As someone who is apart of the community, these keychains bring me an immense amount of joy. I am going to be showing several pictures of the keychain set I made for myself as samples.  These are a few variations of the three keychain designs, I made for myself and as samples. Now I am going to show you a picture of each design. My plan is to make a couple of each design for the website with white vinyl and black vinyl.  The flower is pretty cute, and I love the LGBTQIA+ design!  Now, the “LOVE” design below is the Pansexual flag, because I am Pan and I made these as samples. With that being said, I will have a couple different options up on the website (I’ll get into those in a second). And if you would like a Pride Love design but I haven’t made it yet for the website, then you are free to message me with the special request.  The options I will have available on the website will be a one color design, Agender, Asexual, Bisexual, ...

Olive Toiletry Bags

I wanted to take a second to highlight The Olive Toiletry Bag, as you can see it fits all the essentials!  The Olive has one main zippered compartment and a slip pocket on the back. It also comes in two sizes, Small and Large. The only Small Olive I have in stock, ready to ship is the Military Child Olive you saw at the top of the blog.  The Bob Ross Olive is my sisters favorite since she is a huge Bob fan. Which one is your favorite?    You can shop all these bags and more in my Facebook Group;  FD CLOTHING AND SALES . You can also follow Fashionista Dreams on  Facebook ,  Instagram  and  Pinterest !
